Hotspot policing delivering on tackling crime concerns
More than 24,000 hotspot policing patrols have taken place over the past six months, resulting in reductions in serious violence and anti-social behaviour across West Mercia.
Supporting the PCC's focus on tackling anti-social behaviour, as set out in his Safer Communities Plan, hotspot policing uses data to drive visible foot patrols to target areas of concern.
The 24,000 patrols equate to 400,000 patrol minutes, and have resulted in a 13% drop in serious violence, and a 12% decrease in anti-social behaviour.
Hotspot policing is just part of the wide-ranging work taking place across West Mercia Police to embed policing in the heart of our communities. | ||
